Changing Breast Sizes: Is this Okay?

Lately, I’ve had a few women ask me about changing implant size. While some of them are considering trading out their saline implants for silicone gel models, they also wonder if they should increase or decrease the size. Although we see many women at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates each year who want to trade out their implants, in reality this is not all that common and any change should be considered carefully.
Here’s a note about going smaller, if you’re thinking about that: because of the excess skin that will often be present, in many cases a Los Angeles breast lift will be combined with the secondary breast augmentation using smaller implants.
Keep in mind that changing implant size requires another surgery, including all of the associated risks of complications that come along with the procedure. Talk over your options with a qualified surgeon and your loved ones to make sure you’re making a choice that will feel like the right one for years to come.
