Breast Reduction when Changing Implant Size

Dear Charlie,

A while ago I had a breast augmentation and I decided on 550cc saline implants. While I enjoyed them for a while, I’m finding that they are too big for my frame and my age. I want to replace my breast implants with smaller ones, but I also wonder if I will need to consider Los Angeles breast reduction surgery in addition to replacing my implants. What do you think Charlie?

Thanks,

Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Thanks for sending in your question! This is commonly asked by women who are considering changing their breast implants and opting for a smaller size. In addition to deciding on your new implant size, you may want to consider procedures like breast reduction for optimal results. Oftentimes after women who have had large implants replace them with smaller ones, there is excess skin on the breast that will need to be removed. Because the skin had been stretched with the large implants, it is also common that the skin will sag when the smaller implants replace their larger counterparts.

The Stevens Laser Bra

If you’re considering going smaller, a fantastic way to rejuvenate your breasts is with Laser Bra Breast Reduction. This procedure uses your own natural skin tissue – specially prepared during surgery – to help keep the breasts lifted and supported in a natural position. An area of skin is prepared with a CO2 laser and then sutured from the breast to the chest wall. This “Laser Bra” is entirely internal and can’t be seen or felt – but its results sure are noticeable!

Hugs,

Charlie
