The Effects of Aging on Your Breasts

When most people think of the effects of aging, they visualize facial lines and wrinkles. However, aging affects all areas of your body, and the breasts are no exception. I often talk with women concerned about sagging breasts, loss of breast volume and that “deflated” look. At our plastic surgery practice in Los Angeles, breast implants or a breast lift can often provide the ideal solution.

Here’s how aging can affect your breasts, plus some special tips just for you on solutions that we offer.

Sagging Breasts

The challenge: Gravity and time definitely are not kind to women when it comes to our breasts. If you have large breasts and lax skin tone, the aging process can cause your breasts to sag, changing them from perky to downward pointing.

The recommended solution: To raise your breasts to their original youthful position, I recommend a breast lift, known as a mastopexy. This popular procedure can turn back the clock, resulting in a beautiful figure that allows you to enjoy wearing that bikini again.

Loss of Breast Volume

The challenge: Pregnancy, nursing, weight fluctuations and the passage of time can all result in a loss of breast volume. Your breasts may appear deflated.

The recommended solution: Restore that fullness with breast implants. Guess what procedure ranks as the No. 1 favorite. Breast augmentation, using implants for beautifully shaped breasts.

PLUS: Want to meet both challenges? Our skilled surgeons at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates are experienced in combining breast implants with a breast lift for exquisitely shaped, perfectly sized breasts.

Dr. Stevens gave me a breast reduction and lift. I had NO problems healing and it’s been one of the best things I ever did for me. Should have done it years earlier. The scars have faded to almost nothing and they look gorgeous.

Do not hesitate to go to Dr. Stevens for this. He does perfect work!

Like you, many of our breast reduction patients have only one regret: They wish they had done it years earlier. I have talked to so many women who love the confidence, comfort, and freedom that comes with breast reduction.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Charlie :)
