Before you choose a tummy tuck in Los Angeles, the time off you’ll need for recovery is sure to be on your mind. Be sure to talk with your surgeon about how long you will need to take off of work and what kind of activity restrictions you’re likely to have. Also, here are a few tips to help speed up your recovery and make it more comfortable:

  • Take all pain medication as prescribed. This is important so that the effect does not wear off between doses.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks. Although light exercise after surgery can help improve blood circulation, strenuous activity should be avoided to allow for proper healing.
  • Get plenty of rest. Allowing your body to recuperate is pretty much the best thing you can do for your recovery. Take it easy!
