Cosmetic Surgery Remains Popular Despite Economy
Tweet
As indicated by the media, plastic surgery is as popular as ever, despite the current economy. In magazines and on television, plastic surgery seems to be surrounding us. In 2009, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the number of cosmetic surgical procedures performed was over 1.5 million. And the statistics show only a very slight decrease since that date.
While non-surgical options are also gaining momentum, it is clear that plastic surgery will remain popular. My prediction is that as new innovations happen in the field of plastic surgery such as minimally invasive procedures, more women and men will continue to turn to cosmetic surgery for rejuvenation. Beauty helps us feel better about ourselves, and is worth the investment. As a result, I predict that as plastic surgery advances, it will continue to become increasingly popular, regardless of the economy.
